Good Canine Citizenship Classes

I know we haven't written in awhile, but Cody and I have been moving into a new space at work and getting adjusted. Cody is not thrilled with the new space since he only has the space under a desk rather than a whole office like he did before. Also, he was in the previous space since he was 9 weeks old (since I picked him up from San Diego), so this is his first move. He's still getting used to everything, but things are going well.

In general, Cody's doing well. He's mellowed out a lot and I can trust him most of the time to be off-leash and follow me or obey me when he's off-leash. He's still a hellion a lot of the time, but it definitely is getting better.

Tonight, Cody will be going to his first Good Canine Citizenship class. This class and instructor was highly recommended by Molly's owners. The instructor is Trish from Adobe Dogs. She has branched out and starting her own company since Molly took the class (When Molly was in the class, Adobe Dogs were a part of the Adobe Animal Hospital. I'm glad it's not a part of the hospital anymore because a previous requirement is that your dog's vet is also at Adobe Dogs. Even though Adobe Animal Hospital had gotten good reviews, I didn't really want to change my vet.)

For the class, I need to bring a 6' leash for loose leash handling and some "good" treats. No, I have not found the "magic" treat that Cody likes. I'm bringing some shredded chicken breast and baked hot dog slices to see if any of those will work.
